NOVEMBER 29TH WAS DAVID BACKES NIGHT AT FOGERTY ARENA
Coach Benson and the Spring Lake Park Hockey team honored St Louis Blues and former Spring Lake Park Panther hockey player David Backes between the 1st and 2nd period of the SLP/Cambridge Isanti Varsity game. There was a brief program followed by the retiring of David Backes' #5 jersey. The Panthers went on to beat Cambridge Isanti by a score of 7-4. It was an exciting night for SLP hockey.
TWO HARBORS AND FORT FRANCIS TRIP WAS A SUCCESS!!!
A SUCCESSFUL TRIP WAS HAD BY ALL OVER THANKSGIVING WEEKEND! THE PLAYERS HAD A GREAT TIME AND THE COACHES SAW SOME POSITIVE THINGS ON AND OFF THE ICE AS WELL AS SOME AREAS TO WORK ON THAT THEY BELIEVE SHOULD LEAD TO A SUCCESSFUL SEASON FOR BOTH TEAMS!
DALLAS TRIP WAS FULL OF HOCKEY AND MORE The Dallas trip went well both on and off the ice. Not only did the teams play some good games of hockey they took in a rodeo, a St Louis Blues/Dallas Stars game, played some razzle dazzle football, and just had a good time being together over winter break. Nice job to both teams! Thanks to the Coaching Staff and Blueliners for helping to make this trip possible.
