Coed Cross Country - Letter Policy
 
A.PRIMARY CRITERIA
 
In order qualify to letter you must have attendance at 90% of all meets and practices, be in good standing with all team, MSHL, and school rules, and demonstrate positive commitment to CC running.
 
1. All absences, whether excused or unexcused, count against the total
2.Any absence from a practice or a meet must be cleared with the head coach IN ADVANCE and IN PERSON (see team rules) or it is considered unexcused.
3.Three or more unexcused absences will result in an athlete's automatic ineligibility to letter for that season.
     a. EXAMPLES OF UNEXCUSED ABSENCES: Work, Overslept, Forgot.
     b. EXAMPLES OF EXCUSED ABSENCES: Family obligations, Religious obligations, School work.
 
B. SECONDARY CRITERIA (Here are some ways you can letter if you meet the primary criterea above)
 
1.Time standard: 19:00 for boys (5 km); 18:10 for girls (4000 meters).
2.Member of region varsity team.
3.Seniors who have run cross country all four seasons and who have successfully followed all team rules will letter automatically.
4.Team managers who have successfully and conscientiously carried out their duties are eligible to letter (at Coach's discretion).
5. Attend 100% of all practices and meets from the first day in August until the section meet in October. You must attend school in order to attend practice or a meet.
