FCCLA - General Information
 
Name of Activity: Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
Head Coach/Advisor(s): Miss Lori Henry
Description of sport/activity: FCCLA is open to anyone 9-12th grade. FCCLA is a youth organization that focuses on family, community and peer education.
Where to go for more information: Lhenry@district16.org, Room 328 or 332
Length of season: Year-Round
Practice and/or meeting times: FCCLA meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, meets other days to do projects, works on Saturdays for competition.
Practice and/or meeting location: Room 332
Competition/Performances: Region Competition in February, State Competition in April, Nationals in July
Eligibility requirements: One quarter of Family and Consumer Sciences, Eligibility requirements of FCCLA
Average number of members: 15
Costs and/or needed equipment: $25.00 for dues
Awards criteria & type of awards: Members may get a letter by achieving 75 points, Local awards given out in May, based on points
Student leadership: Officer team of 5 to 7 members, Opportunities for being a region, state or national officer
