Volunteers Needed

At Large Puckster Board Member (3 positions available)-

Attend board meetings at Fogerty on the first Monday of each month from 7-9pm and help make the decisions that impact the team, and provide your input.  Meetings are low key with a great group of people.  Come see what it is about at our next board meeting on May 5th at 7pm in the Fogerty Conference Room, and decide after attending.  Contact Kevin (contact info is on the Pucksters page) with any questions.

Bingo - July and October

SLPYHA runs bingo every Tuesday night from 6-9pm at Time Out in Blaine.  SLPYHA donates a portion of their gambling proceeds to our team each year.  Three volunteers are needed each night.  The Girls team is responsible for staffing July and October.  If you would like to volunteer please see the SLPYHA site for more information.

 

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Carbo Loads -

Carbo Loads are held four to six times during the season at the Fogerty Conference Room immediately following practices.  Three to five volunteers are needed for each carbo load to prepare and serve the meal.  Dates and times will be announced once the practice schedule for the season is set.  Please contact Chris if you are interested in volunteering.

Grocery Bagging Fundraiser at Cub Foods -

Two volunteers are needed to help supervise the girls at the Cub Foods grocery bagging fundraiser.  Dates and times to be announced.  Please contact Chris for more information or to volunteer.

Pancake Breakfast -

Volunteers are needed to help cook the breakfast, serve and clean up for the annual pancake breakfast.  Last year's fundraiser made about $2,000.  The date and times will be announced soon.  Please contact Chris for more information or to volunteer.

Skate with the Panthers -

Two volunteers work with two volunteers from boys high school hockey and youth hockey representatives.  Skate with the Panthers is an annual event where the high school hockey teams open skate with youth from the area to encourage youth hockey.  High schoolers sign autographs, open skate with the youth, and everyone enjoys pizza and pop.  Volunteers coordinate the ice times, arranges for the pizza and pop, and arranges to have a group picture taken.  Please contact Chris for more information or to volunteer.

Banquet -

Concession Stand -

Our team provides volunteers to help staff the concession stand for various high school events throughout the year.  At the end of the year, the teams that volunteered get a portion of the proceeds.  Last year our team earned $600.  Dates and times vary.  Please contact Chris if you would like to volunteer or want more info.

Program Ads -

We are looking for local businesses to place ads and/or coupons in our annual team program.  Prices vary depending on the size of the ad.  Please contact Chris if you would like more information on placing an ad.

Golf Tourney Hole Sponsors -

Our annual golf tourney is Aug. 17, 2008.  Local area businesses are able to sponsor a hole and receive advertising.  Please contact Chris if you would like more information.

Donations for Silent Auction -

Have a business that would like to donate something for our silent auction at the golf tournament?  Would you like to put together a basket or donate an item?  Please contact Chris for more information.

Paper Products for Carbo Loads -

Have any paper products that you could donate?  We need paper plates, napkins, plastic silverware, plastic banquet tables tablecloths, and cups for the carbo loads.  Please let Chris know if you have any of these items available.
