School Safety
The safety and security of each and every student and staff member is “Priority One” in District 16. Emergency preparedness plans, procedures, and personnel are in place. The district has a School Safety Coordinator, a Crisis Management Team, and comprehensive plans for staff to follow in the event of emergency situations of all kinds. Strong connections exist between our schools and local police, fire, and other public safety agencies. This new section of the new website, when fully developed by summer’s end, will provide you with pertinent good-to-know information about school safety in District 16 including safety tips and resources.
