Classrooms in the west wing of Woodcrest Elementary School were renovated this summer, just as they were at Westwood Intermediate. However, three other major projects also occurred at Woodcrest. In addition to an entirely new parking and traffic control configuration, the kitchen has been expanded and the cafeteria has been redefined into a multi-purpose room with greatly expanded window space. However, the most significant change was the addition of an Early Childhood Education Center on the south side of the school. This enabled the district to relocate its new entrance to the southwest side of the school, one that will serve both the elementary and the early childhood program.
