Senior All-Night Party
Each year, immediately after commencement, parents of Spring Lake Park High School seniors host a Senior All Night Party (SANP) for the graduates. This year it will be May 31, 2008. The purpose of the party is to help our students celebrate their graduation in a safe environment. We have an excellent group of parents already hard at work on the planning, but we know there are a lot more of you out there who will want to help. This graduating class is a great group of kids and we want to make their party the best ever! (Not to mention we are a great group of parents and it will be FUN to work together!) So please get involved and share this experience with your son or daughter. They only graduate from high school once!
Calling all Parents!! Help raise money for the Senior All Night Party … Work Concessions at the Xcel!
Our goal is to get as many of our seniors as possible to attend the Senior All Night Party. We want ALL, not just a few students, to have a SAFE and FUN graduation celebration! To encourage high attendance, we make a real effort to provide lots of popular activities for the kids. This can get to be expensive, but it’s well worth it. It’s our way of showing ALL students that they are valued, and ALL students that we are proud of them!
To raise the amount of money needed for the party, we work concessions at the Xcel Energy Center. We do a few other small fundraisers, but 90% of our budget comes from working at the Xcel. To meet our fundraising goal, we need LOTS of parents to be involved!
Here’s how you can help:
1. Contact, Darla Norgaard, the parent who is in charge of Xcel fundraising. Phone: 763-785-1052, Email djnorg@comcast.net
2. Sign up for training at the Xcel (Everyone has to be trained before they work.) Call Darla Norgaard at 763-785-1052 if you can attend the training date. We will call your name in to get into a training class. Additional training dates will be scheduled.
The following training session is scheduled in October:
4. On the nights you work, you will meet other volunteers at the high school and carpool to the Xcel.
5. We will also need managers and TIPS training people for those who will be managing the food booth.
Other Fundraising Opportunities:
November 17, 2007 Wisc. Badger/MN Gopher Pregame Pohle's Badger Blast. Starts 3 hours before game time/ends at start of game. No time set yet, because it is televised that day. We serve brats, beer, cheese, etc.... We need 25 volunteers, which can be adults or students. Contact Darla Norgaard or Jodie Luedtke at the phone numbers or emails below.
We know that people are busy and it’s difficult to find time for volunteering, but we hope that you will give this a try anyway. Even if you can only work once or twice, your efforts will really help!
We know many of you have great ideas that will make this year’s SANP the best ever, and we’d like to hear them! Come to any (or ALL) of our monthly planning meetings which are held on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Meetings take place in the school cafeteria.
The dates are: October 10, November 14, December 12, January 9, February 13, March 19, April 9, May 14 and May 28
PLEASE NOTE: If Wednesday is a bad night for you, or you just don’t like meetings, you can still help!

No time to volunteer? If you’d like to support the Senior All Night Party but have no time to work the Xcel (our main fund-raiser), maybe you’d rather give a financial donation. It’s tax deductible! How much should you give? The party typically costs about $150 per student, so that amount would be ideal. ANY smaller donation ($100, $50, or whatever you can afford) would be VERY MUCH appreciated. Make your check payable to: SLPHS Senior All Night Party Mail it to: 2008 Senior All Night Party, SLPHS, 8001 Able St NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432. Committee Chairpersons are needed for the following areas:
* Prizes & Donations
