Westwood Intermediate School Parent Volunteer Program
 
Panther Partners, an academic support program fueled by volunteers willing to lend their support to students referred by a teacher, is looking for volunteers.  If you have a half hour or more that you can volunteer during the school day, and like working with students in the area of basic skill building or enrichment, please contact Paula Lanoue.  Paula can be reached at planoue@district16.org or 763-784-8551

PANTHER PARTNERS

MISSION*

Our mission is to assist volunteers in lending their time, talents and resources to the educational process of District 16, with the emphasis on working together to develop learners to their greatest potential.

Goals:

- Enrich and enhance students’ learning.

- Enable teachers to offer more individual attention to their students.

- Provide individuals with an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities within the school.

- Promote and strengthen the partnership between learners, community and the school.

TARGET

All students at Westwood are eligible for support through the Panther Partners program.

PURPOSE

Intervention – To provide academic support to students who show a need.

Enrichment – To provide support to students who show an interest, passion or talent in a

particular area.
